Sandra Howard

Director of Children's Choirs, Central United Methodist

Sandra is the founding director of the Masterworks Children’s Choir in Florence, SC, a choir of children in grades 4-8 created under the auspices of Masterworks Choir. She has been a music teacher in Florence School District 3 since 2011, currently teaching at Lake City Early Childhood Center. Sandra is also the Children’s Choir Director at Central United Methodist Church in Florence. A composer of choral music for middle school choirs, Sandra presently has 16 published anthems. A native of Orangeburg, SC, Sandra is a graduate of Furman University with a Bachelor of Music degree in music education. She also holds a Master’s degree with an emphasis in composition from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. She is the former director of Hartsville Children’s Chorale and has taught elementary and middle school music for 27 years.
