The Florence Symphony Youth Orchestra

Talent comes in all shapes, sizes, and ages as well. Musical talent is no different. There have been some influential figures in music that have written their first pieces of music around the same time that they were learning to tie their shoes. Mozart for instance was playing his father's music at the age of four, and had written a small Andante and Allegro when he was only five. Florence, South Carolina and its surrounding areas also have talent at young ages. That is why the Florence Symphony Orchestra created the Florence Symphony Youth Orchestra.

This ensemble is comprised of students in grade 6 - 12 from Florence and the surrounding areas. Admission is free to these concerts.
