“Benny’s Back!”

Dr. Benjamin woods is a longtime friend of the FSO, having served as conductor and Music Director from 1996-2002. Dr. Woods is retired from the music faculty at FMU. He remains sought-after as a concert pianist and guest conductor, and has performed in such iconic venues as Coolidge Auditorium of the Library of Congress, and Carnegie Hall in New York City.

“Out of This World”

Saxaphonist Rodrick Brown joins the FSO in this lively concert with a contemporary piece by John Williams. Mr. Brown is a multi-talented instrumentalist, composer and arranger, specializing in jazz music. He has been playing professionally for the past 28 years. Then it’s lights out for a trip into the solar system. Get ready to experience Gustav Holst’s best known composition “The Planets” like you’ve never seen (or heard) before!
